C.J. Latta

C.J. Latta was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas, a 5th generation member of a Texas ranching family. She wanted to be an artist from early childhood. C.J. spent many years as an artist and illustrator. C.J. shares her grandfather’s ranch with her husband, their six horses, and a large menagerie of other animals. She paints fulltime in her studio on Landrum Creek, surrounded, she says, by more beautiful subjects to which she can do justice in a lifetime. Her art has appeared in Southwest Art, Art of the West, Western Art Collector, Wildlife Art News, Country Lifestyle, and Peterson Hunting magazines.
